Dharmendra Pratap Singh Tallest Living Man of India from UP

At 8 feet 1 inch, ‘tallest’ Indian amuses mela crowd to earn a livelihood


Surendra Pratap Singh is Father of Dharmendra Pratap Singh having height 6 feet, and was a lock development officer (BDO) in UP.

Talking about how he starts his day, Singh said, "I consume 1 litre milk, two apples and four eggs in the breakfast. For lunch, I have daal-chawal, roti-sabzi and salad..but in the evening I take light food," smiled Singh and added further, "Evening food includes sabzi-roti with curd in the evening and dinner includes my favourite paneer."
When the fair is not on, Singh runs a small business of building material in Pratapgarh to earn a living. Asked if he was married, Singh said, "Nobody ever selected me. I think, had the government helped me in getting a job and I had earned a good salary, I also would have had a wife and a small family of my own. But now, I have lost all hopes."
Counting on his unusually long fingers, Singh said, "I earn somewhere between Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 a day from this show at the fair. Now, I have started feeling good when people are amused to look at me."
Meerut-based Dr. Harish Mohan Rastogi, a doctor who has studied human growth, said, "The disease is known as gigantism which occurs after excessive release of growth hormones. In this type of condition, a person tends to grow beyond a certain limit—so much so—that even bones turn fragile and fractures become common. Moreover, spondylitis is also a major drawback of this disease."

36 वर्षीय धर्मेंद्र प्रतापगढ़ जिले के कसियाई नरहरपुर गांव के तो 10 साल के दयानंद भी इसी जिले के लाखीपुर का रहने वाला है। कक्षा 6 में पढ़ रहा दयानंद ढाई साल की उम्र से ही ढोलक बजाता रहा है।

प्रतापगढ़ के सदर विधायक नागेंद्र सिंह की गुजारिश पर मुख्यमंत्री ने दोनों को आर्थिक मदद देने का भरोसा दिया। दोनों शुक्रवार को मुख्यमंत्री से उनके आवास पर मिले।

धर्मेंद्र ने कहा-लोग चिढ़ाते हैं
धर्मेंद्र ने सीएम से कहा-असामान्य लंबाई के कारण मुझे तमाम समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ता है। लोग तरह-तरह के कमेंट करते हैं। धरती पर बोझ तक कह देते हैं। इस पर सीएम ने कहा, लंबे व्यक्ति को लंबू, छोटे को छोटू कहना तो चलता है। लोग हमें क्या-क्या नहीं कहते। दूसरे की टिप्पणियों पर चिंता क्यों करें?

Jessica Pardoe, 21, from Wrexham, North Wales who is 6ft 11in in bare feet touted as Britain's Tallest Teens Women,.

Helen Porter, of the Tall Persons’ Club of Great Britain, said: “At 6ft 9in this lady is exceptionally tall. I have checked our records and ­currently our tallest ­female member is 6ft 8in.
“We certainly believe she must be the tallest teenage girl in Britain.”

Jessica weighed 8lb 10oz at birth and measured a long, but not unusual, 53cm from head to toe. But at 18 months she was much taller than other tots.

By the age of 11 Jessica was ­already 5ft 8in – 3in taller than the average British woman. “We think she has stopped growing now – she’s been the same height for 18 months,” says her mum Lisa.

If teenage girls are often hassles with high-heeled shoes worn in order to maximize the appearance, not so with Jessica Pardoe.

Because in the new age of 18 years, Jessica has a height of up to 6ft 9in or 205 centimeters, so that he no longer need to wear high heels.

Jessica's long legs that reach 38in or 98 centimeters and size 11 feet, often makes it rather difficult to get shoes or trousers according to size, so he had to order it specially.

“I adore my long legs but they cause problems buying clothes,” she says. “I can get away with wearing skirts and dresses as minis, but no high street ­trousers, jeans or shoes fit. I can get them online but they are much more expensive.” Jessica says

 “I’m single now but I’ve had a few boyfriends and go on dates,” she says.

Even so, Jessica admitted proud of her height.

"I'm proud to have a height like this. It makes me a lot of people talk about. But I do not take headaches if I looked different from teenagers in general. Many of the benefits I get, "says Jessica.

The advantage is one of them was when he was at music events, she was not covered with the heads of other spectators.

Jessica height that exceeds the average girl is due to his age factor genes from the father and mother. Her mother, Lisa, 41, is just over 6ft and her father, Andrew, 43, is 6ft 7in.
