State Health Society Bihar invites applications from qualified Indian citizens against positions listed below.

Food Safety Officer : 91 (UR-49, EBC-17, SC-12, BC-09, ST-01 & BC(F)-03)

Pay in INR : Rs.29500/-
Essential Qualification:(i) A degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agriculture Science or Veterinary Science, or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Master's Degree in Chemistry or Degree in Medicine from a recognized University. 
(ii) any other equivalent/recognized qualification notified by the Central Government, and 
(iii) has successfully completed training as specified by the Food Authority in a recognized institute or institution approved for the purpose; 
Declaration/Affidavit Required:The Candidate has to furnish a declaration/Affidavit that he/he has no any financial interest in the manufacture, import or sale of any article of food shall be appointed to be a Food.

Food Analyst : 06 (UR-3, EBC-01, SC-01 & BC-01)

Pay in INR : Rs.44500/-
Essential Qualification: 1. Holds a Master's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Dairy Chemistry or Food Technology, Food and Nutrition or holds Bachelor of Technology in Dairy/Oil or holds degree in Veterinary Sciences from a University established in India by law or is an Associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the section Food Analysts conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India) 
2. Any other equivalent qualification recognized and notified by the Central Government for such purposes. 
3. Has been declared qualified for appointment as a Food Analyst by a board appointed and notified by the Authority. 
Not with standing anything contained above – 
a) Any person who has been declared qualified for appointment as Public Analyst by the board constituted under Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954 shall also be eligible for holding the post of Food Analyst, 
b) Any person who is a Public Analyst under the provisions of Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954 on the date of commencement of these Rules, may hold office of the Food Analyst subject to the terms and conditions of service applicable to such person. 
A person appointed as Food Analyst shall undergo all specialized training programmes specified by the Food Authority periodically. 
Experience: Essential:1. 3 years experiences in the analysis of food.

All Positions are offered on a contract basis for an initial period of 11 months. Renewal of contract would be done subject to following conditions:

Non-refundable Application fee is Rs. 300/- for applicants under General category/BC/EBC, and Rs. 75/- for SC/ ST candidates of Bihar.
